Ober Rappehorn : Traverse Binntalhütte - Reckingen

Cool traverse from Binntal to Goms with nice snow in many parts. Amazing view from the summit, which we had for us that day. Only the headwind was a bit nasty sectionwise. Note: The W-facing descent from the Blinnenhorn to the Blinnental is in very bad conditions due to lack of snow in steep sections!

Somewhat hard-packed snow in the ascend, but receives sun early (S-facing) so that it gets a bit soft. Last part to the summit hard-packed and not much snow, we ascended on crampons but descended on skis. Snow in the E-facing couloir changable / not the best. Below on the Blinnengletscher amazing old powder and nice spring slush in the Blinnental afterwards. Snow coverage is still quite good, ca. 30min of walking needed to reach the train station in Reckingen.

Sunny, strong wind gusts in some sections, no wind on the summit.
