Jungfraujoch - Grosses- & Hinteres Fiescherhorn - Finsteraarhütte

First time for us in the Aletschregion. The glaciers are huuuuge. Really cool experience and great traverse to the Finsteraarhorn with two 4000ers on the way. Some parts with nice snow, others too soft as it was quite late already. Many skiers on the way.

The Mönch S-face seems also well covered in snow (no traces that day). We hesitated first but renounced as it was already late and it snowed the days before.

Ascend to Fieschersattel: easy, well traced Grosses Fiescherhorn: Well covered in snow. The key passage is the first 10-15m upwards to reach the ridge (II), which is not well protectable. For the descend, there is an equipped rappel point (not mentioned in the topo). Hinteres Fiescherhorn: Easy, no rope needed. We took the skis nearly to summit and descended the short but nice summit face. To Finsteraarhorn: Nice snow at the top, too soft already towards the end. Some crevasses visible.

Pretty warm No wind Mostly sunny, cumulus clouds forming from 11h, covering some peaks/faces.
