Strahlhorn and Fluchthorn: from the Britanniahütte

We decided to do the Strahlhorn/Fluchthorn as the saver option (over e.g. the Rimpfischhorn) in respect to the announced, strong wind. Altogether quite nice tour with pretty good skiing in a wild environment. Just the approach until it finally goes up is reaaaally long. Also quite nice to be essentially alone around there.

Rain crust in the bottom third which transformed into a wind crust with some patches of fresh, wind-blown snow towards the summit. Skinning up was no problem, ski crampons were kinda useful in the steep section next to the Adlerpass.

The top part of the Strahlhorn was unfortunately bit rough to descend. Further down and especially the descent from the Fluchthorn were then pretty great. Nice corn and not too deep slush towards the end.

felt rather cold due to the wind strong wind in several parts, close to unbearable at the Strahlhorn summit summits in the clouds in the morning, later clear but hazy

Britannia winter room is well equipped, but there's no toilet access, wtf? Total 6 people that night.
