Cascades a Cogne

17/01 - Cascade de Lillaz - Très ouvert, L1 ok on the right side, L2 not formed, L3 ok on the left side 18/01 - Pattinaggio Artistico - heavy snow, clouds, looked much better by end of the week 19/01 - Il Candelabro del Coyote - thin on P1, P2 good 20/01 - Mont Arp Vieille depuis Bonne - heavy powder conditions, lots of people, but safe option due to high avy danger 21/01 - Patri de droite - Patri de droite: very airy ice, difficult to place ice screws, lots of cauliflowers, lots of hooking. I would estimate more grade WI5 than WI4+ in these conditions. 7 parties waiting before P1 (even at 9am), we walked around to the upper part, and climbed the lower part afterwards. 22/01 - Valmiana - relaxed climbing, P1 very nice, other pitches nice atmosphere but not much climbing 23/01 - Chandelle Levure - L4 and L7 formed, but L7 soaking wet. Water in my trousers and boots. Ice good though.
