[day 1] Geltenhütte via Walliser Wispile

Such a good feeling to put the skis on after a year off!!

Much better snow than expected. Descent from Walliser Wispile was good down to 1600m. The ascent trail to the hut was very icy between 1350 and 1500m - glad to have an axe, crampons would not have been an overkill…
