Col des Ecandies : Par le Val d'Arpette

Snow & Route Conditions Snow Quality: Very good overall. Excellent, nice powdery snow near the top. As expected, it gets progressively slushier towards the bottom, but the skiing remains highly enjoyable from top to bottom.

Couloirs: The side couloirs are in great shape, well-filled, and fully skiable.

Coverage: Good snow coverage across the entire route.

Timing: The skiers heading down around 10:00 / 11:00 AM caught it at the perfect time, enjoying very nice snow conditions.

Practical Info & Parking Tip Logistics: Save yourself some hassle and don't park all the way down at the cable car (telepheric) station like I did! You can drive further up and park directly by the relay station, which cuts out an unnecessary walk at the end of the day.
