Lauenehore: W Ridge from Gräbi

Leave car in the skiing station or take a bus. Parking along the road is restricted in most of the places. If starting from the station, ascent the first 100m on the side of the slope to turn left and take a traverse left all the way to the river. Continue skinning the path along the river until it naturally crosses it and enters a more defined, narrower valley. Go on with the well defined path until the rock barrier shows up. Ascend the western slope to pass it. From there enter the flat plateau and continue to the col.

From the col take the W ridge until it becomes too steep and narrow for skins, there traverse to the right and bootpack the rest of the way to the summit from there (potentially grass and rocks).

One can either ski the same way or choose one of the couloirs going down the summit ridge that later turn into nice wide slopes (steeper, but nicer option).

Fairly easy and rather safe trip, with a bit longish approach through the forest.

watch cornices on the ridge the southern side of the ridge heats up quickly in spring and can go down in a slide top sections or the couloirs can be pretty rocky
